Overseas Pakistanis have sent $3.53 billion in remittances in April 2026, showing an increase of 11.4 percent compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday.
On a month-on-month [MoM] basis, remittances declined by 7.6 percent from March 2026, when inflows stood at $3.83 billion.
The central bank stated that total remittances received during the first 10 months of FY26 reached $33.86 billion, reflecting an 8 percent increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances in April, with overseas Pakistanis in the kingdom sending $841.7 million.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranked second with inflows of $734.7 million, while Pakistanis living in other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries remitted $325 million during the month.
According to SBP data, total inflows from the Middle East remained close to $1.9 billion in April.
Analysts noted that despite the monthly decline, annual remittance growth remained stable following higher inflows recorded in recent months around Eid-related transfers.
Pakistan is targeting around $41 billion in remittances by the end of FY26, compared to $38 billion recorded in FY25.
