Pakistan's junior volleyball team stormed into the final of the Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship after crushing arch-rivals India by 3-0 in the semi-final.
In a one-sided contest, Pakistan outclassed India by winning all three sets — 25-16, 25-19, and 25-12 — to book a place in the final, where they will face Iran on Saturday. Iran defeated Japan in the other semi-final.
Pakistan dominated the match from the beginning, not dropping a single set throughout the tournament. Key contributions came from Junaid, Faizan, Irfan, and Talha, who played pivotal roles in the team's commanding victory.
Pakistan has already secured qualification for the 2026 World Under-17 Volleyball Championship.
Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan defeated Iran 3-1 in the pre-quarterfinal stage to reach the last four. In the group stage, they emerged as Group D winners by beating South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Chinese Taipei, and later defeated Indonesia to enter the semi-finals.
The Pakistani team remains unbeaten in the tournament, consistently overpowering their opponents in every match.
The Asian U16 Volleyball Championship is currently being held in Thailand, featuring top junior teams from across the continent.
