Pakistan has announced that it will grant 500 scholarships for Bangladeshi students over the next five years under the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, a bilateral initiative launched last year to strengthen educational ties between the two countries.

A spokesperson for the Foreign Office (FO) confirmed that Foreign Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar had announced the corridor during his visit to Bangladesh in August 2025.

The second phase of the initiative was launched in Dhaka on May 10, 2026, with a Bangladeshi delegation currently in Pakistan for a three-week programme under the same framework.

Dar expressed satisfaction over the trajectory of relations between the two countries, pointing to the corridor as an example of progress in bilateral engagement.
