Passenger nabbed at airport with heroin concealed inside soap
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully seized heroin concealed within soap from the luggage of a passenger traveling to Saudi Arabia from Lahore.
During the operation at Lahore International Airport, ANF investigators found 470 grams of heroin hidden in soap bars in the passenger's trolley luggage.
The ANF successfully collected 80.470 kg of different drugs, valued at over 10 million rupees, as part of a bigger series of operations. Seven suspects were taken into custody as a result of these operations.
In another incident in Rawalpindi, 150 tins containing 52.5 kg of hashish were discovered when the ANF arrested a suspect near a bus stop.
The ANF searched a car and a flat in Bahria Town in Rawalpindi, after conducting more investigation and using the information provided by the arrested suspect.
In another operation in district Kasur, four suspects were caught in possession of 9.6 kilograms of opium and two kilograms of ice near a petrol pump on Deepalpur Road.
The ANF also recovered six kilograms of opium and 2.4 kilograms of hashish from a suspect near Sheranwala Gate in Lahore.
This resulted in the recovery of an additional 7.5 kilograms of hashish, dealing a serious blow to drug trafficking in the area.
Charges under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been filed against each of the detained individuals, while inquiries are being conducted to learn more about their activities and relationships.
