Police reject abduction claims, say Nimra Khan was harassed
The case of actress Nimra Khan’s alleged abduction in Karachi has been dropped.
SDPO Darakshan Manisha Rupita revealed in a video statement that the model was not kidnapped but harassed.
After the actress’s video statement, DIG South and SSP South took notice of the incident and ordered an investigation, which was subsequently carried out by DSP Darakshan.
Police officer Manisha Rupita stated that the investigation revealed the accused was alone on the motorcycle, and no one else was with him.
She said, “It was not a case of abduction but harassment. Two incidents of harassment of women have come to light in recent days, and the accused in both incidents have been arrested.”
According to Manisha, a route map of the accused in the Nimra Khan case has been prepared, and a search is going on. The police will apprehend the accused soon.
Khan said, “I am very satisfied with the performance of the police. The police worked day and night to investigate and collect evidence.”
Earlier this month, a video of the actress went viral, in which she claimed she stopped an attempted kidnapping.
The incident reportedly happened on the evening of August 11, while she was waiting for her family outside a hotel in Karachi’s Defence area.
