A pregnant woman in Lahore’s Raiwind area has alleged that police and two of her cousins assaulted her during a dispute involving a vehicle, resulting in the loss of her pregnancy, according to media reports.
The woman, identified as Irum, said her husband had a dispute with her cousins Ali Hassan and Imran Yousaf over a vehicle transaction.
She alleged that the two men arrived at her home in Muslim Nagar, Raiwind, accompanied by police.
Irum claimed that she was assaulted by her cousins and the police during the incident and subsequently lost the baby.
She also alleged that police refused to register her complaint regarding the incident.
According to Irum, police instead took her husband into custody following the confrontation.
