Singer Aima Baig has publicly expressed pride after Business of Fashion (BoF) named her husband Zain Ahmad in its BoF 500 list.

Ahmad is the founder and creative director of Lahore-based fashion house Rastah.

He attended the BoF gala in Paris and shared photos from the evening on Instagram with the caption, “What a wonderful evening at the @bof gala and thank you @imranamed for your unwavering efforts in making this industry a better place 🤍”

Baig commented, “PRIDE AND PROUD 👏” with Ahmed replying back, “thank you for always supporting ❤️🤍”

Ahmad is the second Pakistani on the list, after designer Faraz Manan, who joined in 2024. BoF announced him as part of its Class of 2026.

The BoF 500 is an annual index from Business of Fashion (BoF) that recognises people shaping the global fashion industry through design, business and culture. BoF picks new members over several months, based on nominations from existing members and its own team. The Class of 2026 was introduced at a gala in Paris during Paris Fashion Week.

Ahmad started Rastah in 2018. According to BoF, the brand reached seven figures in revenue in 2025 with no outside investment.

BoF said Rastah’s success has helped spark “a broader movement across Pakistan and South Asia” of founders building labels around artisanship.

Rastah has dressed Timothée Chalamet, Barry Keoghan, Justin Bieber, Zayn Malik, Riz Ahmed and Anil Kapoor. Forbes named Ahmad to its 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2022. In 2023, Rastah became the first Pakistani brand to show at London Fashion Week. The label has also held pop-ups in New York, London and Paris.

The exchange between Baig and Ahmad came after months of speculation about their marriage. The couple married in a private nikah ceremony in Canada on August 6, 2025.

Reports of a rift first appeared in October 2025, when Ahmad unfollowed Baig on Instagram and removed their wedding photos. He later said a technical issue had archived the posts, before restoring the photos and following her again.

Speculation grew again in September 2026, when Baig posted photos with a caption that began “Status: Single.”

Several media outlets later reported, citing unnamed sources, that the couple had divorced amicably.

Neither Baig nor Ahmad has publicly confirmed these reports.
