Protesters attack Allu Arjun's home in Hyderabad

South Indian Telugu cinema superstar Allu Arjun's residence in Hyderabad was attacked and vandalized by protesters on Sunday.


Tensions peaked on Sunday evening when protesters attacked Allu Arjun's house in Jubilee Hills. In a video shown by local television, protesters can be seen pelting stones, throwing tomatoes, and breaking flower pots at his house.


The protesters were demanding that Allu Arjun take responsibility for the family of a woman who was crushed to death in a stampede at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2 at the Scindia Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4.


According to media reports, the protesters belong to the Joint Action Committee of a university in Hyderabad and are demanding that Allu Arjun pay one crore in compensation to the woman's family.
