Qarz-e-Jaan highlights mature love and family acceptance

News Desk

Jan 20

Qarz-e-Jaan does a great job of showing romance between an older couple in an interesting way. It also portrays adult children, like Nashwa, accepting their mother’s past and wanting her to be happy now. This is very refreshing.

While we love the drama, it's troubling how everyone, including Nashwa and her friend, is so comfortable around Ammar. Ammar raped Maheen and might have killed her too.

The stolen glances between Asim and Bisma are heartwarming. Bisma gets flustered and confused, showing the slow, mature, and deep love story between them. Despite their complaints, they are still in love.

It's wonderful to see the drama highlight that love isn't limited to young people. Love, excitement, and butterflies swoop in when seeing a special someone, regardless of age. The drama helps us accept the emotions and feelings of older people, which society often dismisses.

Barkat Apa, Bakhtiyar’s mother, is a nuisance. She kept nagging Bakhtiyar about selling the house to Burhan. This was a shock for the family because the person they wanted to avoid now owns the house.

Qudsia Apa is refreshing. Her character’s positivity and helpfulness move the story forward. Her role is executed wonderfully, making her likable and essential to the plot.

Is Burhan really Asim’s son? What’s the story behind it? Nashwa and Nameer’s interactions are always intriguing. This time, Nashwa caught Nameer taking pictures of a Canadian cousin without her permission. Is she his new target? Would he risk doing something to her?

After getting away with what he and his friends did to Maheen, Nameer might think he can do it again and escape unscathed. If he killed Maheen, it might have made him more prone to such actions.

Some parts of the drama are confusing. For instance, why didn’t anyone pick up Qudsia? They surely have an extra car and driver. Also, it’s strange how Nashwa and her friend are so casual around Ammar, considering he’s a murderer and rapist. You’d expect some aversion or discomfort in his presence.
