In a live show on ARY today, television host and salon owner Rabia Anum walked out of Nida Yasir’s morning show, ‘Good Morning Pakistan’. Rabia was invited to the show as a guest, alongside Fiza Ali and Mohsin Abbas Haider.
According to sources, Rabia was not told that she had been invited alongside Mohsin on the show. Rabia had been vocal against Mohsin after Mohsin’s former wife Fatima revealed that she had been a victim of domestic abuse during their marriage.
Rabia decided to leave the show after a few minutes of the show being live. According to reliable sources, while walking out, Rabia said on live television that she cannot share a platform with a wife-beater.
She also cried while exiting the show. She elaborated on the fact that if today she will compromise on her morals, and share the platform with Mohsin, she will never be able to raise her voice for her daughters or friends when they would be at the receiving end of domestic violence.
However, right after the first segment, which was shot at the beginning of the show, Rabia left the show, which has been edited out.
Mohsin was accused of domestic violence by his former wife, Fatima Sohail, in 2019. The controversy grabbed national headlines and Mohsin was boycotted by certain influential personalities of the fraternity. He was also kicked out of Mazaaq Raat. A lower court in Lahore even found Mohsin guilty of threatening his former wife.
