YouTuber Rajab Butt has sent a legal notice for defamation to his former wife, Emaan Fatima, prompting a swift response from her lawyer.

Emaan’s lawyer said on social media that his client had once again received a legal notice from Butt. The notice accuses Emaan of sharing comments, reels and videos aimed at defaming the YouTuber.

The lawyer rejected the allegations, pointing out that the notice arrived with no supporting evidence attached. He confirmed that a formal response had already been submitted on Emaan’s behalf, and that Butt had been asked to produce proof to back up his claims. He also alleged that the notice was meant to harass his client rather than pursue a genuine legal grievance.

The fresh notice comes weeks after Butt sent Emaan both a defamation case notice and a separate legal notice concerning custody of their son, reportedly delivered on her birthday. Emaan revealed this in a vlog filmed by her brother, Aon Sheikh, which showed the two of them opening her birthday gifts together.

The couple’s marriage ran into trouble after Aon publicly accused Butt of cheating on Emaan while she was pregnant. They welcomed their son, Kivan Sultan, in September 2025.

Soon after his son’s birth, Butt announced during a podcast appearance that he intended to end the marriage. He then sent Emaan a divorce notice, which she shared on her Instagram story along with a caption describing the toll the situation had taken on her and their child.

The separation played out publicly for months. Aon Sheikh regularly defended his sister online and clashed repeatedly with Butt on social media. In July 2026, Aon claimed the two sides had reconciled and that the matter was resolved.

Butt dismissed those claims during a TikTok Live session. He said the divorce was final and that he considered the matter closed, while maintaining that he would continue to fulfil his responsibilities toward his son.

Butt remains one of Pakistan’s biggest social media figures, with close to nine million subscribers on YouTube and roughly 2.9 million followers on Instagram.

He has been involved in several public disputes and legal matters before, including a defamation case he pursued against a TikToker over harassment allegations.
