YouTuber Rajab Butt’s ex-wife Emaan Fatima has filed a petition seeking monthly maintenance for their son and the return of her dowry.
According to reports, a guardian court issued a notice to Butt and asked him to submit his reply by October 30.
The petition says Butt expelled her from their home a few months after the wedding and sent her a divorce notice. She states that the divorce has not yet taken effect.
She also stated that her parents gave her dowry worth Rs8,792,000 at the time of the wedding, and that Butt’s family has not returned any of it. She asked the court to order the return of the items.
According to the petition, the couple have a son named Kivan, however, Butt has not paid for his expenses, adding that Butt earns crores of rupees every month.
She asks the court to set Rs5 lakh in monthly maintenance for their son and Rs2 lakh for herself.
It merits a mention that Rajab married Emaan Fatima in 2024 in a wedding that went viral on social media. The marriage ran into trouble after Aon Sheikh publicly accused Butt of cheating on Emaan while she was pregnant. The couple became parents to Kivan Sultan in September 2025.
Butt then announced during a podcast appearance that he intended to end the marriage and send Emaan a divorce notice. She shared the notice on her Instagram story with a caption describing the toll the situation had taken on her and their son.
The separation played out in public for months. Aon Sheikh regularly spoke in Emaan’s defence and clashed with Butt online. In July 2026, Aon Sheikh claimed the two sides had reconciled and resolved the matter.
Butt dismissed thevclaim during a TikTok Live session. He said the divorce was final and he considered the matter closed.
Butt has one of the larger social media followings in Pakistan, with close to nine million subscribers on YouTube and roughly 2.9 million followers on Instagram.
He has been involved in several public disputes and legal matters. He recently pursued a defamation case against a TikToker over harassment allegations.
