Ramzan Chhipa saw astonishing scene at Amjad Sabri's last rites

Renowned social worker Ramzan Chhipa has made a surprising revelation about the final bath of legendary Qawwal Amjad Sabri, who was tragically martyred during the holy month of Ramzan in 2016. His untimely death left the entire nation in mourning.

Amjad Sabri, only 39 at the time, left behind five children and two widows. Thousands of fans attended his funeral while grief and sorrow engulfed his home and neighbourhood.

During a TV programme, Chhipa, the founder of the Chhipa Foundation and known for his humanitarian work in Karachi, shared an extraordinary incident that occurred while preparing Amjad Sabri for burial.

“Whenever I perform the final rites for someone, I notice different things. But when I was giving Amjad Sabri his last bath, I suddenly stepped back in shock—because I saw him smiling. I trembled and immediately called his family, who also witnessed the same and began praying,” he recalled.

He further remarked, “Only God knows the reality of such signs, but we often observe different indications. Some faces show signs of suffering, while others, like Amjad Sabri, leave this world with a smile.”

Following Chhipa's revelation, social media has been flooded with mixed reactions.

Many users took this as proof of Amjad Sabri’s piety and spiritual purity, emphasising his connection to a Sufi lineage. They expressed that his soul was blessed, which is why he departed with a smile.
