Reham Khan shares old wedding photos with powerful message

When British- Pakistan journalist Reham Khan shared a throwback wedding photo on Instagram, it wasn’t just the image that captured attention. It was the powerful message she wrote alongside it that left her followers reflecting deeply on societal norms and women’s freedom.

She shared a vintage photo of herself in a red wedding dress on Instagram, with an emotional message.

Her caption read,”Yaad i Maazi azaab hei ya Rab…..Cheen ley hafza mera.” She went on to discuss societal expectations and burdens placed on women, particularly, when it comes to makeup, jewelry, and traditional roles. Reham emphasized the need for change, offering a powerful message for women everywhere:

“Let’s change the world together for our daughters. Let them grow. Give them freedom. They will never be a burden for you. They will be the arms that hold you in sickness & old age." 

Reham Khan’s tied the knot with Ijaz Rahman in 1993 but they got divorced in 2005. In 2014, she tied the knot with former cricketer Imran Khan but their marriage ended in 2015. Now Reham is married to actor Mirza Bilal.
