Filmmaker Saim Sadiq has questioned a recent comment by actor Humayun Saeed in which he referred to veteran actresses Atiqa Odho and Nadia Khan as his “bari behnein” (elder sisters), despite their relatively small age difference.
Taking to Instagram, Saim Sadiq pointedly referred to the age gap between the stars. He wrote, “Why is he trying to prove himself as some young bacha to Atiqa Odho?”
He further highlighted that Atiqa Odho is only four years older than Humayun Saeed, while Nadia Khan is around one year older.

He also compared the situation with actress Sajal Aly, writing, “By that measure, Humayun is 22 years older than his last heroine Sajal Aly, she is possibly younger than Humayun’s daughter even. What should she be calling him then? Nana Jaan?”
Humayun Saeed recently spoke about his professional relationships and on-screen history with senior actors.
He reflected on working with Atiqa Odho in the drama Tum Hi To Ho, where he said she was already an established star while he was a kid.
He added that Atiqa Odho often mentions their past collaboration in interviews, which he takes positively. “It doesn’t feel bad to me,” he said, adding that he respects both Atiqa Odho and Nadia Khan deeply and considers them to be like elder sisters.
Saim Sadiq is a Pakistani screenwriter and director who gained international recognition for Joyland, which won the Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
