Singer Samar Jafri’s team has issued an official statement explaining the decision to cancel his performance in Hyderabad, citing crowd misbehaviour and safety concerns at the venue.

According to the statement, Samar decided to call off the show to prevent potential harassment, particularly towards women, and avoid the risk of overcrowding or a stampede.

“Samar was genuinely excited to perform for his fans in Hyderabad. However, due to crowd misbehaviour and growing safety concerns at the venue, Samar made the difficult decision to call off the show to prevent potential harassment, particularly towards women, and to avoid the risk of overcrowding or a stampede,” the statement read.

His team stressed that organisers must prioritise public safety and ensure adequate security arrangements at events.

“The safety and well-being of everyone present must always come first. Organisers must make this their foremost priority and ensure that every arrangement at the venue is up to that standard,” it added.

The team also apologised to fans who had been looking forward to the performance.

“We sincerely apologise to everyone who was looking forward to the performance and thank you for your understanding,” the statement read.
