Former Indian tennis star Sania Mirza has shared photos from her son Izhaan’s sixth birthday celebration.


On Wednesday night, Sania posted glimpses of the intimate celebration on Instagram.


“My baby boy I can’t believe you are 6 🥲 you are the reason for my smile 💙 Happy birthday laddu,”


she wrote, with a photo of her holding Izhaan close. Another photo showed Izhaan posing with a football-themed cake, featuring his favorite player, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The post quickly received love and birthday wishes from fans and celebrities alike.


Izhaan’s father, cricket star Shoaib Malik also celebrated his son’s birthday, sharing pictures on Instagram with the caption, “Happy birthday champ! May you have many more years filled with laughter and love, Izzu🤍 Baba always has your back, and may you grow up to make us all proud.”


Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik married in 2010 and have one son, Izhaan. After Malik announced his marriage to actor Sana Javed in January, Sania confirmed that she had separated from him through khula, a form of divorce in Islam.

The 37-year-old athlete regularly posts on Instagram to share moments from her personal and professional life, keeping her fans entertained.

Her latest post contains two pictures with Izhaan, captioned: “New year, new us”.

In one picture, Sania is holding her son who is wearing a funny wig and a fake mustache. Another photo in the post is a selfie taken in the car, showing both the mother and son wearing sunglasses.
