During an appearance on Mazaq Raat, hosted by Imran Ashraf, Bashir shared a touching moment with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the famous Bollywood director.
Bashir said, “I believe that the way they [India] understand and appreciate music is truly remarkable. I was sitting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on set, and I presented a raag to him, and believe me Albela Bhai, he was moved to tears. He told me, ‘The soil of Pakistan is so melodious that I have never encountered such tuneful soil.'”
Javed Bashir is one of Pakistan’s most proficient singers, with many hits to his credit.
