Security forces have killed 22 terrorists during multiple Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to statements issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In Balochistan, security personnel conducted operations in the Washuk and Mastung districts on August 5 and August 6 under the Rad-ul-Fitna-3 campaign.
According to the ISPR, troops killed six terrorists of Fitna Al-Hindustan in Washuk after detecting their movement on August 5, while six others were “sent to hell” in Mastung on August 6 during an exchange of fire that resulted in the destruction of a hideout.
In KP, security forces neutralised ten terrorists across two engagements on August 6. According to the military’s media wing, “ten khwarij belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-Al-Khwarij were killed in two separate engagements”.
Troops also thwarted an attack on security checkposts in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan, where eight terrorists were killed through effective and precise engagements. Another two terrorists were neutralised during an operation in Dir district where forces also recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition.
Sanitisation operations remain underway to clear remaining terrorists from the area, ISPR said, adding that action will continue at full pace under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
