Singer Shae Gill is currently riding high on the success of her chartbuster global hit Pasoori. However the talented crooner took to her Instagram stories on Monday to hit out at netizens who trolled her over praying for the late Indian singer, Sidhu Moose Wala.

Gill earlier posted an Instagram story sharing the news and wrote, “Heartbroken. May his soul rest in peace and may his family and friends have the strength to bear this loss.”

A few netizens started scolding her for wishing a non-Muslim. Having had enough of being ‘policed’ by such people, she shared screenshots of the DMs and made her stance clear.

The message read, “As a Muslim, you are not allowed to make dua for non-Muslims when they die.”

“I’ve been getting a lot of such messages. Just wanted to inform everyone that I am not a Muslim. I am a Christian, belong to a Christian family and can make prayers for people from different religions,” Gill wrote in response.
