Shah Rukh finally reveals how it felt to work with his sons
Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, has always made headlines with his iconic roles, but his latest project brings a personal touch to the screen.
The Dunki actor opened up about his experience of working with his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam in Mufasa: The Lion King, set to release in cinemas on December 20, 2024
In a candid interview with Walt Disney Studios India, Shah Rukh Khan shared how his first collaboration with Aryan in 2019, for The Lion King was a memorable one, but this time, he got to work with both of his children, Aryan, who voices Simba, and AbRam who plays young Mufasa.
“There are a couple of differences, when we did ‘The Incredibles’, dubbing was a little difficult compared to now. But the common thing is that both of them worked with a lot of patience, which I didn’t think they would be able to do at such a young age. But Aryan and Abram both prepared a lot. I think they sat and learned their lines in Hindi.”
“The difference is that when Aryan did it, more people spoke in Hindi, so it was a bit easier for him. But now, after 10-15 years, I think people are more into speaking English. But I’m happy that AbRam worked hard and learned his 20-25 lines, sitting with his sister. So, the whole family was involved." The Jawaan actor added.
“Both their voices are amazing; they are still a bit thin, but what excites me is that when I hear Aryan now, his voice sounds very different from The Incredibles. Similarly, I hope that 8-10 years from now, when I hear AbRam’s voice, it will be a great memory for me.”
The Bollywood king also expressed how precious the experience is for him, saying, “It’s a great memory to keep the voices of Aryan and AbRam in a film forever, as a record.”
Earlier, last year after Suhana’s entry into the world of entertainment, Aryan Khan is set to follow in his father Shah Rukh Khan’s footsteps with his directorial debute.
On Tuesday, the eldest son of the superstar shared a snippet of the ad of the upcoming streetwear brand ‘D’YAVOL X?’ which starred the Bollywood Badshah himself.
The project has received praise from social media users, with plenty of applaud for Aryan’s acting and his direction skills, saying that he had a bright future ahead of him.
