Nadia Khan has once again found herself at the center of controversy after mocking Sajal Aly’s dialogue delivery in the smash hit drama serial Zanjeerain.
In a recent episode of her YouTube show, Nadia mimicked Sajal’s delivery during the character’s escape scene, calling her performance underwhelming.
“Rabia was constantly running and saying, ‘Is anyone there?’ Suppose you are running. How would you run, and what would you do if people were chasing you to harm you? What would you say?” Nadia asked.
She continued by mimicking Sajal, “She was so politely saying, ‘Is anyone there?’ Instead, you would be loudly shouting, ‘Save me!’ If you were trying to save yourself, would you call for help in such a low voice?”
“The movements and visuals did not match the voice. And Danyal also heard this low voice,” she added.
Imitating Sajal’s tone, she said, “From her tone, it felt as if someone was sitting on a rock, playing with water, and she is softly saying, ‘Is anyone there?’ ‘Is… is anyone there?’ ‘Is anyone there… in my dreams?'”
The clip triggered a wave of reactions online, with many accusing Nadia of targeting Sajal out of envy.
One user wrote, “She is jealous of Sajal.”
Another user wrote, “Nadia ko chance mil gaya phir se Sajal k liye viral hone ka (Nadia got another chance to go viral because of Sajal).”
One person wrote, “Dora per gaya (She’s lost it).”
Another one commented, “Don’t make Sajal untouchable. She is amazing.”
One account observed, “Kaash isko bhi koi kaam de deta to superstar ki mimicry na karni parti (I wish someone would give her work too, so she wouldn’t have to mimic a superstar).”
Another user wrote, “Chalo ji, Nadia ko mauka mil gaya viral hone ka (Well, Nadia got her chance to go viral).”
Zanjeerain is written by Farhat Ishtiaq, directed by Shahzad Kashmiri and produced by Momina Duraid for Hum TV. The story follows tribal rivalries and conspiracies, with Sajal Aly, Ameer Gilani, Danyal Zafar and Sehar Hashmi in the lead roles.
This is not the first time Nadia Khan has mocked Sajal Aly’s dialogue delivery.
She previously mocked both Saima Noor and Sajal Aly for their performances in the drama Main Manto Nahi Hoon, saying the characters sounded weak and unconvincing.
