Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has reacted to rumours linking him romantically to actress Durefishan Saleem, dismissing the reports in an Instagram story.
Sharing a post from a social media page that claimed the two were secretly dating or engaged, Rajab wrote, “What a shit digital media we have. Fake spreadings.”
The rumours had picked up steam over the past day after several unverified posts and social media conversations began trending across platforms, with fans fuelling the speculation through tweets, comments and posts pointing to an alleged connection between the two.
Durefishan’s makeup artist, Yashwa Anjum, also weighed in, calling the claim “the worst” he had ever heard and firmly rejecting the speculation. “Why didn’t I go blind and deaf before seeing and hearing this? I can’t take it. This is the worst news I’ve ever heard. And marrying this person? Absolutely not. Never in a million years,” he wrote in the comment section of a post.
Durefishan herself has not publicly commented on the rumours.
Durefishan is one of Pakistan’s most popular television actresses. She made her debut in Hum TV’s “Dil Ruba” in 2020 and landed a leading role in “Bhaaras” the same year. Her career took a major leap with “Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi” in 2022 and continued to grow with roles in “Ishq Murshid” in 2023 and “Sanwal Yaar Piya” in 2025.
Rajab, meanwhile, maintains one of the larger social media followings in Pakistan, with nine million subscribers on YouTube and 2.9 million followers on Instagram.
Butt married Emaan Fatima in 2024 in a wedding that went viral on social media. The marriage ran into trouble when Emaan’s brother made public allegations that Butt had cheated on his wife while she was pregnant.
Butt later announced his divorce during a podcast appearance, after which a legal notice was also sent to Emaan.
She shared the notice on her social media accounts along with an emotional message, saying that she and their son Kivan had been going through a painful time.
