South Africa has named a 15-player squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, with Temba Bavuma continuing as captain.

The first Test starts at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on November 15 and runs until November 19. The second Test takes place at SuperSport Park in Centurion from November 23 to 27. The squad will assemble in Johannesburg on November 11.

South Africa top the Test rankings after Bavuma led them to a 2-1 series win over Australia.

Batter Tony de Zorzi returns after missing the Australia series with a hamstring injury. Fast bowler Anrich Nortje also comes back after recovering from a groin injury that kept him out for two weeks. Lungi Ngidi misses out as he continues his rehabilitation.

The squad has strong pace options for the conditions, with Kagiso Rabada, Nortje and Dane Paterson as the specialist pacers. Corbin Bosch, Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder add seam-bowling all-round depth.

South Africa won the last series between the two sides on South African soil 2-0 in 2022.
