Pakistani comedian and actor Tamkenat Mansoor has reacted strongly to a viral video showing a father bravely catching a man harassing his daughters. Sharing the clip on her Instagram story, she urged parents to trust and support their children.

She wrote: "Please always take your kids’ complaints seriously. Give them the confidence so they can share their issues with you. Kudos to this father for catching the culprit and handing him over to the authorities rather than imprisoning his own daughters."

The video was originally posted by digital creator Shakeel Chishti on Instagram, who shared it with the caption: "14 din ho gaye bachiyon se ched khani karte hue, aaj range haathon baap ne pakar liya."

In the video, the father explained, "It’s been 14 days, my two daughters go to madrassa, and for 14 days they were telling me, ‘Baba, whenever we go and stand there, some uncle comes and bothers us. Sometimes he asks us about the way to home, sometimes he asks our name, sometimes he asks Baba’s name."

He added, "Yesterday morning, around 7:15 to 7:30, my daughter and son went to the bakery. As they were going upstairs, this person followed them in a narrow street. He went to the roof behind her, grabbed my daughter’s hand, and tried to abduct her."

In efforts to protect his daughters, the father set a trap. "This morning after Fajr prayer, I went and stood there. As soon as my daughters came, two minutes later this man came and stood near them. So today we caught him red-handed. We will hand him over to the police and file a kidnapping case. We have identified him, now the rest is up to the law."

Social media users applauded the father’s courage. A user wrote, "Father did an excellent job. But please don’t let your girls go out anywhere alone."

Another said, "The kind of father every daughter deserves."

One user commented, "Instead of imprisoning his daughters at home, he chose to catch the real culprit. Good!"

One added, "It heals me to see a father who actually stepped up for his daughters and took action! Proud of you. You just restored my faith in Pakistani society."
