A man in Rawalpindi has been booked for allegedly raping a Thai woman after bringing her to Pakistan on the promise of marriage, police said.
According to the police, the case was registered at Rawat police station on the complaint of the woman against a man named Aamir Sohail under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
She met Sohail in Bangkok about two years ago, the FIR [First Information Report] stated, adding that he later promised to marry her and persuaded her to travel to Pakistan with him.
