Indian singer Anuv Jain has opened up about a memorable night with Pakistani singer Atif Aslam during their Nepal music tour, saying that he watched Atif perform live for close to four hours at a barbecue and calling it one of the best experiences of his life.
Anuv shared the story on a YouTube video with comedian Tanmay Bhatt. He recalled that he and Atif performed on separate nights of the same show in Nepal, with Atif taking the stage first.
Anuv said, “I was doing a show in Nepal, and first day Atif Aslam was performing, and I was performing on the second day, and then he invited us to barbecue later. He was sitting for like four hours and was just performing with his band, and they were performing on the table, and he was singing, and I was sitting right next to him for four hours, and it was like the best experience I ever had. Like Atif Aslam bro, that was insane.”
This is not the first time Anuv has spoken about that night. In April 2024, he posted a photo with Atif on Instagram after the same Nepal show. In that caption, he wrote, “This picture was taken at 3am, right after Atif Aslam Sir and his band turned a simple BBQ dinner into the most amazing 2.5 hour long jam session for about 20 of us.”
Anuv Jain is known for indie pop songs such as “Baarishein,” “Alag Aasmaan” and “Gul.”
Atif Aslam remains one of Pakistan’s most recognised playback singers and performers across South Asia.
