Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a statement on Sunday to commemorate the first anniversary of the Marka-i-Haq victory over India. The party congratulated the nation on the military response to Indian aggression during a four-day conflict that occurred one year ago.
From Adiala Jail, PTI founder Imran Khan issued a message asserting, “The army is mine, and the country is mine”.
The statement from the party media secretariat praised all defense institutions, with specific focus on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
This action, the statement claimed, “humbled Modi’s arrogance” and established a “historic benchmark of skill”. The party also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and PAF who died while defending the borders.
The opposition party maintained that the leadership of the PTI founder contributed to national defense even during his current confinement. The statement noted that his administration ensured the acquisition of J-10C fighter jets from China.
According to the party, these jets now “safeguard our airspace” and serve as the “backbone of strategic stability in South Asia”.
Simultaneously, a commemorative ceremony took place at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) College of Medical Technicians (CMT).
Doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff attended the gathering. CMT Principal Prof Dr Ayesha Isani praised the efforts of the government and the armed forces.
She highlighted Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir for his leadership during the four-day conflict.
PIMS Executive Director Prof Rana Imran Sikander also spoke at the ceremony, where he discussed the contributions of the army, air force, and navy.
