A man, his wife, and his sister-in-law have been killed in the Mohra Shah Wali area of Taxila. The incident took place in Street No. 5, where the suspect, identified as Najeebullah, used a sharp-edged weapon to carry out the murders before fleeing the scene.
The victims have been identified as Danish Akram, his wife Seema Gul, and his sister-in-law Shehla. According to initial reports, Danish Akram and Seema Gul had married by choice, which is believed to be the motive behind the attack.
IG (Inspector General) Punjab has taken notice of the triple murder and has requested a formal report from the CPO (City Police Officer) Rawalpindi. Following the incident, CPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani also sought a report from the SP (Superintendent of Police) Potohar.
“The suspect must be arrested immediately,” stated CPO Hamdani in his orders to the local police teams.
A spokesperson for Rawalpindi police confirmed that an investigation into the killings is currently underway. Forensic teams arrived at the location to collect evidence from the crime scene to assist in the probe.
The bodies of the three victims were shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examinations. Police teams have been dispatched to track down and apprehend Najeebullah.
