Police in Lakki Marwat have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against unidentified suspects over the abduction, rape and murder of a three-year-old girl in the Langerkhel Hathi Khan area on Sunday.
The case was lodged at Lakki city police station on the complaint of the child’s father. The FIR includes Sections 302 (intentional murder), 364-A (kidnapping or abducting a minor) and 376 (rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
According to the FIR, the girl went missing on April 3. Her family initiated a search after she could not be located.
The report states that her body was later found in a reed forest situated around two kilometres from the village. The complainant said that the child’s “half-naked body was found on Sunday”.
Aliullah, 32, the victim’s father, informed police in his statement that during the search, family members located the body in the nearby forest. He stated that the body was shifted to Government City Hospital, where a lady doctor carried out a medical examination.
He told police that the doctor confirmed that the child had been raped.
The FIR further states that Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Fatehullah Khan reached the hospital after receiving information about the case. According to the FIR, the officer said that a lady doctor, after conducting the examination, confirmed that the child was raped before being murdered.
