A minor dispute originating on TikTok and social media turned fatal on the Gadoala Darya Khan Road, Bhakkar, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving five others severely injured. According to the police, the violent armed clash took place within the jurisdiction of the Saddar Bhakkar Police Station.
DPO Shahzad Rafique Awan confirmed that an exchange of fire between two rival groups resulted in one casualty from each side. The deceased teenagers were identified as Shiraz and Zohaib. Following the initial shooting, the bodies and the injured victims were immediately rushed to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.
However, the violence escalated further when a large number of supporters from both rival factions gathered at the medical facility. A second brawl erupted right inside the gallery of the hospital’s emergency ward. The attackers used knives, causing injuries to more individuals in the chaotic environment.
During the hospital melee, continuous indiscriminate firing broke out inside the emergency ward. This led to the targeted murder of an already injured victim who was undergoing medical treatment at the time. The sudden gunfire caused intense panic and fear among the medical staff and patients.
Furthermore, an innocent bystander receiving care at the hospital was caught in the crossfire and severely injured. Due to the highly tense security situation, the hospital administration temporarily shut down the emergency ward. Operations were later restored and treatment resumed once law enforcement managed to control the crisis.
DPO Shahkar Rafique Awan visited the hospital to review the situation and monitor the treatment of the wounded. He stated that the police responded timely to contain the violence and announced that raids are underway at various locations to apprehend the perpetrators.
The police have completed the post-mortem examinations of the deceased. In anticipation of further retaliation, heavy police contingents are being deployed for the funeral prayers, and security has been significantly beefed up outside the residences of both parties.
