Veteran Pakistani actress Fazila Qazi has sparked a heared debate on social media after sharing a strongly worded video message aimed at former television host and journalist Iqrar Ul Hassan, questioning his repeated criticism of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and calling out what she described as a troubling obsession.

Taking to her Instagram account, Fazila said that she had misjudged Iqrar’s personality and made no effort to hide her frustration.

“I made a huge mistake in recognizing Iqrar. I have become tired of listening to that person’s words. You are so obsessed with one individual. You are incredibly obsessed with Imran Khan,” she said.

She then said that she held no political allegiance but still felt compelled to speak up.

“Look, even if someone supports a political party, that’s fine, but I am not affiliated with any political party. I am simply disturbed by the way people speak. I may disagree with many of Imran Khan’s political decisions, but regardless of that, he is an asset to our country. He brought us the World Cup. He established Shaukat Khanum, where countless people receive treatment. At least acknowledge someone’s good deeds as well,” she requested.

She then praised the incarcerated politician as a great leader.

“I admit that Imran Khan is a great leader, but I think he is a very poor politician. He doesn’t understand politics, and that is why he is suffering through all of this. Many times we fail to recognize people’s true nature. I would probably be a terrible politician too, God forbid if I ever became one, because I also struggle to judge and understand people correctly,” she observed.

She then turned her attention directly to Iqrar’s conduct.

“Who are you to assassinate someone else’s character? Take a look at yourself first. We are all sinners. None of us is completely pure or flawless. When you point one finger at someone else, three or four fingers are pointing back at you. At least look at yourself and reflect on what you have done. Then, in a very foolish manner, you offer an apology. That is not how an apology works. You cannot misbehave once and then simply move on,” she said.

She also referenced an incident involving Iqrar at an airport.

“After that, you were even seen behaving rudely with people at the airport. Believe me, I stayed quiet even after watching that because I thought, maybe the poor guy is under some kind of pressure. But honestly, it seems to me that you need treatment. You should seek help and get your mind treated,” she said.

The video quickly gained traction online, with many users expressing support for the actress.

“She is absolutely right. Iqrar ne bahut disappoint kia hai,” one user wrote. Others simply responded with “Well said” and “Thank you for saying all this,” while another added, “She is representing all of us.”

Iqrar parted ways with ARY News on April 15, 2026, ending a 21-year association with the channel. He had launched his political party, Pakistan Awaam Raj Tehreek, in January 2026 and chose to fully commit to the movement, stepping away from broadcast journalism after two decades as one of Pakistan’s most recognised television faces.
