Udit Narayan breaks silence after backlash for kissing fan at concert

Famous Indian singer Udit Narayan has found himself at the center of controversy after a video from his concert wen viral. In the video, the singer can bee seen interacting with fans, taking selfies, and kissing a female fan on the cheek. 

However, things took an unexpected turn when he pulled a fan closer and kissed her on the lips, surprising both the fan and viewers. This sparked widespread criticism online, with many condemning his actions.

The Pehla Nasha singer responded to the criticism, explaining that his actions were simply a way to show affection for his fans.  

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Udit Narayan said, "Have I ever done anything to bring shame to myself, my family or my country? So why would I do something like that now, especially in my life?"

 "The bond between my fans and me is pure and unbreakable. What you saw in the video was just an expression of the love we share. They love me, and I love them even more," he added. 

Udit firmly denied feeling embarrassed or regretful.  

"No, not at all, why should I be ashamed? Do you hear any regret in my voice? I'm actually laughing while talking to you. This wasn't a secret or inappropriate act, it happened in front of everyone. My heart is pure. If some people want to see something wrong in my act of affection, I feel sorry for them. I also want to thank them because they’ve made me even more famous."
