The African country Uganda created a new history by qualifying for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024.

By defeating Rwanda in the T-20 World Cup 2024 qualifiers, Uganda secured their place in next year’s T20 World Cup in West Indies and America.

In the T20 World Cup’s Africa Region Qualifier on Thursday, the Ugandan team defeated Rwanda easily by 9 wickets and qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time, taking the second position on the points table.

The top two teams from the Africa region qualifiers were to play in next year’s T20 World Cup, with Namibia securing their place in the T20 World Cup by finishing first in the group ahead of Uganda.

After Uganda’s qualification, Zimbabwe, who was included in the Africa region qualifiers, is out of the race to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024.
