Pakistan netball team finished an impressive campaign by clinching the Plate Championship with a dominant 60-35 victory over Maldives in the final of the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025.
The final was held at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in Jeonju, South Korea. Pakistan remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all seven matches that they played, including games against Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, and Japan.
Pakistan quickly took control with a 17-5 lead in the first quarter of the final, extending it to 34-17 by halftime. The team maintained its momentum to close the third quarter at 45-23, leaving Maldives with no chance for a comeback.
Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Alina, Amani, Parisa, and Farah Rasheed contributed to the decisive win.
Pakistan Netball Federation officials praised the team’s performance and discipline.
The championship ran from June 27 to July 4 under the Asian Netball Federation.
