A video featuring Pakistani media personality and crypto entrepreneur Waqar Zaka alongside Ella Wadia at London’s exclusive Twenty Two Club has triggered a wave of public commentary across social media platforms.

Ella Wadia is the daughter of Jehangir and Celina Wadia, granddaughter of Nusli Wadia, and the great-granddaughter of Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah. In the footage, Zaka refers to Wadia as “one of the most beautiful girls” he has ever seen.

The encounter has sparked a debate regarding the relevance of Jinnah’s lineage to modern-day Pakistan and the public conduct of his descendants.

Public reactions remain divided on whether Wadia’s personal life warrants association with the legacy of Pakistan’s founder.

Several users dismissed the connection entirely, citing historical context. One observer noted that Jinnah disowned his daughter Dina when she chose her own path, making Wadia “irrelevant to Pakistan.”

Another commenter reinforced the stance, stating that “dragging his great name for cheap headlines is disrespectful” and that “this girl’s club life has nothing to do with Pakistan.”

Others defended Wadia’s right to personal autonomy regardless of her ancestry. One post argued that if Jinnah founded a country, it does not mean his descendants are required to be “saints”, urging others to “mind your own business.” Similarly, another user pointed out that “Jinnah ki beti per Farz nahi wo Jinnah ko follow kare ye tu 4th generation hai” (It is not obligatory for Jinnah’s daughter to follow him; this is the fourth generation).

The presence of Waqar Zaka in the video also became a focal point of the discourse. Critics questioned his intentions, with one user suggesting that Zaka posted the video “knowing exactly how it would spread” to ensure it went viral. The entrepreneur’s career trajectory was also a topic of discussion, with a commenter noting that Zaka moved from explaining cryptocurrency to “wandering directly into the footnotes of subcontinent history.”

While some users expressed surprise at the “unexpected” pairing, others were more critical of the association, with one response stating that “hanging out with Waqar Zaka is a choice.” Despite the varying degrees of outrage and defense, a segment of social media maintained that Wadia’s maternal connection to Jinnah five generations ago does not make her accountable to the expectations of the Pakistani public.
