A pro-Khalistan protester broke through security and rushed onto the stage during Diljit Dosanjh’s concert at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Saturday, briefly interrupting one of the singer’s back-to-back sold-out shows on his Aura World Tour.
Videos from the venue, which spread rapidly across social media, show Diljit performing and dancing energetically before noticing a man carrying a Khalistan flag standing dangerously close to him.
The singer stopped, stepped away, and security personnel moved in immediately, restrained the individual and escorted him off the stage. Local police later took him into custody.
The performance paused briefly before resuming, with the show continuing without further disruption.
It was not the first time Diljit’s international tour faced a similar incident.
Earlier this year during the same Aura World Tour in Canada, a group of pro-Khalistan supporters entered the concert venue, raised slogans and waved flags before security removed them. In May, during a show in Calgary, Diljit briefly paused his performance after spotting Khalistan symbols in the crowd.
After the Canada incident, Diljit addressed the matter directly on Instagram Stories.
“Standing outside and protesting anyone can do that. But if you try to come inside and harass my fans, that will not be tolerated,” he wrote.
“If someone brings a banner or a flag, it usually means they want to show where they’ve come from and that they support me. But if you’re standing outside with the same banner abusing my fans, and then try to come inside and do the same thing, that will not be tolerated,” he wrote.
The San Francisco shows on June 20 and 21 marked the conclusion of Diljit’s North American Aura World Tour 2026.
