In several videos shared across X, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms, people can be seen setting Israeli flags on fire instead of using traditional fireworks or other patriotic displays.
One widely circulated clip appears to show a group celebrating Independence Day by using a burning Israeli flag as part of the festivities, while others chant slogans critical of Israel and its genocide in Gaza.
