Talking about Champion Trophy 2025 he said, “The Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Pakistan, we are fully prepared, we hope to Allah that this event will be held in Pakistan. We are not thinking that the Trophy will be held in any other country instead of Pakistan or under a hybrid model.”

“We are preparing pitches by ordering soil from England and Australia.”

In responce to a question about captaincy of the national cricket team, Mohsin said, “Team captaincy will be decided by the selection committee. I want to make the selection committee powerful so that they are accountable and will not interfere in their work.”

He said that he had a meeting with the secretary of the Indian board Jay Shah at ICC. “The talks were held in a pleasant atmosphere, but at present I do not want to bring these things forward.”

Talking about Haris Rauf he said, “Losing and winning are part of the game but the team should be seen fighting on the field, Haris Rauf is a good player but there will be no compromise on the priority of the team. This is the policy for those who will not play for the country. Haris’s case is with the appeal committee to decide.”

The ninth edition of ICC Champion Trophy will be held in Pakistan in February and March next year.
