WhatsApp will stop working on these devices from January 1

Popular messaging app WhatsApp will be stop working on all Android phones running the KitKat operating system from January 1, 2025, it has emerged.

 

Under the development, all devices released over nine years ago will no longer be able to run the app.

 

The main reason for this move by the Meta sub-platform is to include new features for users and ensure compatibility with modern technology, performance and security.

 

The company has also released a list of Android phones that will no longer be able to run the app.
