A viral clip hinting at a possible shooting involving Baala has sparked speculation among viewers of the smash hit drama Mitti De Baway, with fans debating who could be behind the attack on Wahaj Ali’s character.
The clip has left viewers wondering who might want Baala dead, with several characters emerging as possible suspects because of their troubled relationships and past conflicts with him.
Qadir, the son of Qamar-un-Nissa, is among the names being discussed. Some viewers believe Baala’s growing closeness to Qamar-un-Nissa could create tension with her son and eventually lead to a confrontation.
Billo’s family has also become part of the discussion. Some fans suspect her eldest son could target Baala because of the painful history between their families. Others, however, question whether Billo would allow her children to get involved in such an act.
Phajja’s son is another possible suspect. Since Baala killed Phajja, viewers believe his son could seek revenge for his father’s death. This theory has added another possible motive to the mystery surrounding the gunman.
Not all theories point towards family members. Some viewers suspect that the attacker could be someone from Baala’s or Billo’s inner circle, possibly a trusted servant or employee who knows their movements and personal matters. This has also raised questions about a possible betrayal.
The speculation has also drawn comparisons with the Punjabi folklore surrounding Jagga Jatt, whose story features betrayal and a tragic fate. Some viewers are looking for similar elements in Baala’s storyline, although the drama has not established such a connection.
Written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, Mitti De Baway tells the story of love, social class, family honour and revenge in rural Punjab.
The drama follows Bilqees Bano, known as Billo (Mahira Khan), and Iqbal Channan, known as Baala (Wahaj Ali). Billo belongs to a respected family in Wazirabad, while Baala comes from a financially struggling family of folk performers in Mitranawali.
The two fall in love, but their different social backgrounds and family expectations drive them apart. Years later, they meet again in Faisalabad, where both have married and started families. However, their unresolved past, old rivalries and growing conflicts bring further complications to their lives.
The drama also features Amar Khan, Junaid Khan, Sohail Ahmed, Hina Afridi and other actors in key roles.
