Why did Karachi traffic police return money to Tabish Hashmi?

In a world where being famous can have its ups and downs, Tabish Hashmi’s funny encounter with a traffic officer shows that everyday moments can turn into something memorable with a good laugh and a humble attitude.On his show ‘Hansna Mana Hai, Tabish talked about an interesting incident that happened to him in Karachi.

“A traffic police officer told me I would be fined. I replied, ‘I don’t have time to go and pay the fine, can we find middle ground?’ We settled on a deal of around two to two hundred and fifty rupees.

Then, when the officer asked my name, I replied, ‘My name is Tabish Hashmi.”Laughing, the host said that upon hearing his name, the traffic police officer said, “Oh, you are a Hashmi, you are a Shah Sahib.” The officer returned one hundred rupees to Tabish on the basis of his name being Hashmi.“Just look at the officer’s sincerity and honesty”, Hashmi added.
