Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are one of Bollywood’s most-loved couple and with good reason. Not only do they both complement one another beautifully but the fact that Ranveer is always first to cheer on his wife is probably the single-most reason why they are so popular. The subcontinent is used to having the woman one step behind thanks to the internalised concept of patriarchy which is why these two are like a breath of fresh air.
Internationally Deepika is the bigger star, but does that hurt Ranveer’s “ego and masculinity?” Doesn’t look like it and here’s proof.
Deepika recently made two high-profile appearances, one on the Met Gala and the other on the Cannes Red Carpet and Ranveer’s comments on Deepika’s pictures were probably more fun than her looks. *sigh*
