Why Tauqeer Nasir turned down a Bollywood film with Madhuri Dixit?
Tauqeer Nasir, a prominent figure in the Pakistani entertainment industry, made some revelations as he appeared as a guest on ‘Zabardast’, hosted by Wasi Shah.
He revealed that his work has been acknowledged by many in Bollywood, marking a significant highlight in his remarkable career.
“Shah Rukh Khan has always been a fan of my work,” he said.
Nasir also claimed that Khan was inspired by his performance in ‘Parwaaz’ and copied his style and character for his role in ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’.
“The similarities between the two characters are striking, and it’s evident that he drew heavy inspiration from my work,” he added.
Tauqeer Nasir also disclosed that he once received an offer for a Bollywood film that would have starred him alongside the legendary Madhuri Dixit, but due to political tensions at the time, the project fell through.
“After that experience, I lost interest in pursuing opportunities in Bollywood,” he admitted.
Celebrated for his exceptional talent, Nasir holds the prestigious honours of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and Sitara-e-Imtiaz, which the Government of Pakistan awarded him for his outstanding contributions.
