Woman gets misprinted Rs1,000 currency note from ATM in Karachi

News Desk

Jul 05

A woman received a misprinted currency note of Rs1,000 from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Karachi’s Landhi area on Saturday.

As per reports, the woman withdrew a note of Rs 1,000, which had two pictures of Quaid-e-Azam. However, the serial number was properly written on the note. The woman said that she was afraid to use that note as people might think that she was the one who prints fake notes.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) spokesperson, in a statement, asked the woman to submit the misprinted note to the SBP.

He said that an inquiry is under way and strict action will be taken against the bank, if found guilty.
