A 19-year-old woman was killed and another injured after a Suthra Punjab Authority truck ran over the duo in Lahore.
As per the details, the deceased was identified as Faryal, who died at the scene, while the other woman, Shanzay, shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police arrested the truck driver who has been accused of reckless driving.
Traffic authorities said they had earlier written to the Suthra Punjab Authority about the need to train its drivers, but no serious steps were taken.
According to official, 10 people have died in the past one and a half years in crashes involving vehicles of the Suthra Punjab Authority and the Lahore Waste Management Company.
