A man was hospitalised in Kasur after a woman allegedly threw acid on him, according to a video shared by a private media outlet in which the victim described the incident himself.
Speaking in the video, the victim denied any inappropriate relationship with the woman and offered to prove it through a medical test. “I was alone. I did not have any wrong relationship with her. Get my DNA test done, do whatever test you want,” he said.
He said the woman had first reached out to arrange a meeting and claimed to be from his own caste. “The girl told me she wanted to meet me. I went. She told me she was from my caste,” he said. “I met her. I brought food and drinks along. She told me to get her a shawarma. I got her a shawarma.”
The victim said the two had remained in contact for about a month, and maintained that nothing improper had taken place between them. “It has been a month that I have been in contact with her. There was no wrong relationship,” he said.
He then described the moment he says he was attacked. “She took me to a colony. As we were walking there, she threw acid on me and ran away to Waqas sahab’s house,” he said. “I went to Waqas’s house so he could help me, but then I saw the two of them standing together. I understood then, and I left from there.”
The victim was hospitalised following the incident, according to the video.
No arrests or official police statement has been reported at the time of filing this story.
