Pakistani actor and director Yasir Hussain has amused his fans with his honest and humorous remarks about working with his wife Iqra Aziz, saying that he has no plans to repeat the experience.
During a recent conversation, Yasir shared that acting alongside Iqra was more challenging than he expected, even though he praised her talent as an actress.
Responding to a question from the audience about the biggest challenge he faced while playing the role of Jhooti, especially since the character interacted with Sikra, played by his real-life partner.
“First of all, she wasn’t my real-life partner at that time. That happened just a few months before our wedding,” he said.
When asked if working together had any negative impact, Yasir made his stance clear.
“No, the effect on me was that I decided never to work with Iqra again. No way, acting with your wife is not possible, man. It’s really tough,” he said.
He added that he only worked with her once more after that project.
“So after that, I probably worked with her just one more time. It was in ‘Aik Thi Laila,’ which was a big request from the channel. Other than that, I always say no, I don’t want to work together. And the character I played was a negative one,” he shared.
Despite his comments about on-screen collaborations, Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz continue to share a strong relationship off-screen.
The couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary in December 2025. They got married in 2019, welcomed their son Kabir in 2021 and their daughter Sophia in early 2026.
