Singer Zoha Waseem has broken her silence after actress Alizeh Shah publicly criticised her rehearsal performance of her viral song Majboor this week, clarifying that an account posting alleged comments about Shah was not hers.

The feud began when alleged comments from an X account attributed to Waseem about Shah surfaced online.

The account reportedly wrote, “Guys, she needs attention. God, jealousy on top. People don’t look at you and you are getting jealous of others.”

Shah responded on her Instagram story sharing the post screenshot, targeting Waseem’s rehearsal set where the singer was seen performing Majboor and appearing frustrated with crew members for not playing the correct part of the track.

“Learn how to sing your song without a tone, first. It’s not such horrible times that I have to be jealous of you,” Shah wrote.

She added, “Did anyone even know you before this stupid song? Get well soon, girl. You got four days of hype, don’t go overboard.”

Shah was also seen covering her nose while mimicking Waseem’s voice to the viral chorus of Majboor, saying she was tired of hearing the same lyrics repeatedly.

Waseem addressed the situation on her Instagram story, stating that the account behind the alleged comments was not hers. She also clarified that Instagram is her only official social media account and that she does not maintain a presence on X, Threads or YouTube, adding that a link to her official TikTok had been shared separately. “Any impersonation accounts will be dealt with strictly, so we request everyone to refrain from such actions,” she wrote.

She also took the auto-tune accusations in stride, joking, “Next time I will use better auto-tune, guys.”

Reaction online was divided. Some users sided with Shah’s criticism over the alleged use of auto-tune, while others pushed back by sharing clips of Waseem performing song covers live, praising her vocal ability.

Waseem’s track Majboor, featuring Sheheryar Rehan, was released in September 2025 and has since crossed 22.7 million streams.
