Actor Shahvir Kadwani is again facing criticism on social media over his acting and dialogue delivery in the latest episode of Pakistani drama Mohabbat, with viewers questioning his performance alongside the show’s more experienced cast.

The reactions followed the release of episode eight of the drama, which stars Feroze Khan, Nawal Saeed, Aina Asif and Shahvir Kadwani.

Kadwani plays Zarrar, the son of Saleha Nizami and Jamal. The story follows the relationships of two brothers, Yahya and Zarrar, as they navigate love, family pressure and personal struggles.

However, Kadwani’s performance became a talking point among netizens, with several users criticising his expressions, dialogue delivery and acting in a particular scene.

“Takes pure talent to squeeze this much amount of bad shots in one sequence,” one social media user wrote, while another commented, “Nothing worked here.”

Some netizens also questioned the decision to cast him alongside established actors, with one writing, “I wonder how these legendary, seasoned actors feel acting with these nepo babies.”

One person referred to the actor’s family background, saying, “Can’t do anything cuz his father gives the seasoned actors their paychecks.”

Several reactions focused on his dialogue delivery. “The boy can’t deliver lines,” one viewer wrote, while another said, “I could act better than him in my Urdu with a Pashto accent.”

Other comments were equally critical, with one writing, “Can we collectively pay him to stay off our screens.”

Another commented, “Not all Nepo babies are bad, but introducing Shahvir Kadwani to the industry has to be the most heinous of crimes… Also quite unfair to him and the audience!!”

Some viewers brought humour into their criticism, comparing his acting with that of artificial intelligence-generated fruit videos. “AI fruits act better than him,” one person wrote. Another responded, “Don’t diss the fruits. They have better delivery.”

Mohabbat is a family drama produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, with Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi as producers. Asad Jabal directs the series, which Shafia Khan wrote.
